Work Comp Insurance - How to Save Money

Are you in the market for work comp insurance?

What many business owners don't realize is that work comp insurance companies frequently make mistakes when calculating things like experience modification ratings, using the wrong workers compensation classification codes, and calculating premiums.

Frequently I have seen employees put under the wrong classification codes that end up costing employers thousands of dollars. The most recent example I saw was for a construction company's superintendent being classified under the highest code. Essentially he worked in an office 98% of the time and was on site only on an occasional basis.

In this situation the work comp insurance company demanded that he be put under the superintendent code instead of clerical. After fighting it out with the insurance company we were able to get him back under a clerical code saving the company thousands of dollars.

That's just one example. Insurance companies don't want to save you money they want to charge you as much as possible and hope that you're either to ignorant or to busy to want to fight them.

Most employers are overpaying a significant amount on their work comp insurance. Now if you could save a substantial amount of money on your workers compensation premiums wouldn't you want to?
